How to check your XP system specifications for FiatLux Visualize™

To verify that your computer meets the minimum requirements, perform the following steps.

  1. Left click on the Start Menu.
  2. XP Comp Properties

  3. Right click on My Computer, and select Properties.
  4. Under the Computer section, the properties of your computer are displayed. 
  5. Note: The processor should be at least a Pentium 4 1.0 GHz or equivalent, and Memory should be at least 1 GB for Visualize to run properly.

  6. To verify that you have sufficient space to install Visualize, left click on the Start Menu.
  7. Left click on Computer. A window will appear listing all hard drives on your machine.
  8. Left click on a hard drive to view the details of that drive in the information panel on the left side of this window.
  9. Note: FiatLux Visualize requires up to 300 MB free for installation, and may require additional storage for images. The Visualize Setup allows selecting a drive of your choice.

  10. To verify that your video hardware meets the minimum requirements, right click on the desktop and left click Properties.
  11. Left click on the Settings tab to view the current Display Resolution.

  13. Under the Screen resolution section, verify that your display resolution is at least 1024 by 600 and your Color depth under Color quality is at least 24 bit, the minimum requirements for Visualize to run properly.
  14. Left Click on Advanced to verify the video card requirements to operate FiatLux Visualize.
  15. Left Click on the Adapter tab to display information about the video card hardware present on your machine.
  16. Under Adapter Information, verify that the Memory Size is at least 128 MB, the minimum required to properly use FiatLux Visualize.
